Frequently Asked Questions
1️⃣ Is this speed dating?
Nope! There’s no racing through rounds or pressure to match. This is about real, relaxed conversations with guidance to help you connect authentically.

2️⃣ Strangers to what exactly?
We start as strangers and by the end, we’ll be something, whether that’s:

  • A friendly new connection
  • A potential date
  • An activity buddy

But regardless of the outcome, the goal is to try something new, practice social skills, and have interesting conversations.

You’re welcome to exchange contact info if you'd like — it’s a great opportunity to practice that skill in a supportive space!

3️⃣ Why aim for gender balance?
The rotation format works best when we have a balanced group — it helps everyone get a chance for meaningful 1:1 conversations.

While the structure is designed with heterosexual pairings in mind, anyone who feels this event is right for them is welcome.

That said, even if numbers don’t line up perfectly, we'll still try to have a fun and interesting event!

4️⃣ How do I connect with people afterward?
I won’t be facilitating formal matchmaking, but I encourage you to exchange contact info during the event if you feel comfortable.

I’ll also share ideas for following up during the wrap-up.

5️⃣ Ironic this is online. Why not an in-person event?
Two reasons:
First, I’m based in LA, so hosting in-person in the Bay Area isn’t possible (at least for now!).

Second, while in-person events have their benefits, online has some surprising advantages, too!

You get to interact with new people from the comfort of your own home — no commute, no stress about getting ready or finding parking.

The “return on investment” can be high, especially for introverts or anyone curious to try something new in just about an hour!
