Discussion Night: Creative Writing Sharing Part I
Details
EVENT PREMISE
Do you have writing you've been wanting to share and discuss? Bring it tonight, and it will have our full attention. Bring a maximum two pages of prose or four pages of poetry. For each person who brings something to share, we will read it out loud (you can read it out loud yourself or, if you prefer, one of us can read it for you) and then discuss it for a set amount of time before moving on to the next person. During each segment, we others will raise our hands, and the one whose writing is being discussed will have the job of calling on people.
You will notice that the title of this event contains the phrase "Part I." This is because we will be having future events of this type. Therefore, if you were unable to make it to this installment or if time ran out before you could share, have no fear; there will be future chances.
Participants should note that writing content of all kinds is welcome. Nothing is too esoteric, too heavy, or otherwise off-limits. Some works may be emotionally challenging; participation is at your own risk.
