Tak is the abstract board game created by Patrick Rothfuss and James Ernest, first as an element of The Kingkiller Chronicle series, and then as a successful kickstarter after James Ernest created a game from Patrick's ideas. It's a little like chess and a little like go, but also simple like reversi.
