About us

Most of my closest friends disappeared into parenthood.
Not because anything went wrong — they're great parents and I'm genuinely happy for them. But somewhere between the diaper bags and the school pickups, our Saturday morning badminton game stopped happening. The spontaneous weekend trips became impossible to schedule. The group chat went quiet.
My wife and I chose not to have kids. That's a deliberate decision, and we don't spend a second second-guessing it. But it does mean we're navigating a phase of life where most people our age are in a completely different orbit — and finding a social circle that actually fits has been harder than it should be.
So I started this group.

What we actually do:
We fill our freed-up time and discretionary income with things worth doing. Concretely, that looks like:

  • Badminton, Pickleball and Racquetball (casual to competitive — all levels)
  • Kayaking and boating on Lake Sammamish, and Lake WA
  • Archery — range sessions, skill progression, the whole thing
  • Off-road day trips (Tiger Mountain, ORV parks, Cascades back roads)
  • Drone photography and videography (I organize scouting trips — you don't need your own gear to come)
  • Checking out new and popular food joints
  • Whatever else sounds genuinely good when the weather cooperates

Who this is for:
Adults who are childfree by choice — whether that means you've made peace with it, you're still figuring it out, or you just want to spend time with people who aren't scheduling everything around school calendars.
While I'd love to build a solid crew of guys (most CF spaces skew heavily female and that's a gap I'm trying to fill), everyone is welcome — couples especially. This is not a singles scene or a venting forum.

What this is not:
A bar crawl. A Netflix-and-discuss club. A hiking group. A debate about lifestyle choices.
We don't center events around alcohol. We don't need a sports bar to have a good time. The activity is the point — everything else is optional.
