This is a ‘dress up like a goddess/god’ and meet strangers picnic. Let’s talk about those three beautiful aspects below.
Also, while all languages are welcome, know that this is largely an international gathering and our activities will be conducted in English.

Dressing Up
We know you’ve got that wild symbolism inside you, that unstoppable magic that likes to poke its head out now and then. This is the place to set it free and let it play.
You’re not supposed to show up dressed as you normally would. At our events, we follow one simple yet powerful rule: dress up like a goddess or god you’d be proud to worship.
What that means is entirely personal—no one’s here to regulate you. But do join our lovely game and arrive as the magical being you know yourself to be. Look in the mirror and ask: Would I light incense for this deity? Would I chant into the night? If yes, we’re golden.
(If you need a point of comparison: this week one of us ordered a gold leaf diadem, a summer kimono and some elf ears. Get the idea?)

Meeting Strangers
While the Society is delighted to see you bringing friends and mingling with them across our enchanted fields, a core part of our magic is meeting people you’ve never seen before.
But worry not—we’ve brewed up our own little sorceries to help. You’ll be hosted, welcomed, complimented and then invited into small groups and handed carefully chosen questions, written on pieces of scented parchment, along with a few playful rules for how to use them.
From time to time, your hosts may invite you to swap groups or try a new set of question rules. It’s all part of the spell. Our hearts grow stronger—and our connections will follow suit.
This social enchantment was first concocted between Rio de Janeiro and Berlin, and we're thrilled to finally bring it to sunny Madrid.

Picnicking
Bring a bottle of wine. Actually, bring two.
Bring some picnic-y snacks.
Bring your absolute best smiles, your most cherished memories, your sense of adventure.
And please, pretty please, bring a picnic blanket and some paper cups. Or bring a goblet as a gift—I would love to drink from a goblet.
There’s not much mystery here: try to be generous, but don’t sweat it. Everyone’s food and drinks are for everyone (unless you’ve got allergies or restrictions, in which case just ask nicely).
Seriously, do bring a picnic blanket. I am not the god of blankets.

If it Rains
If the many, many goddesses and gods of rain decide to throw their party that day (damn those folks), we’ll have to postpone. If the forecast (or the sky) is looking dodgy, check this event page for updates, instructions, and possibly a little mutual commiseration. Some of us cry when this happens, you're invited to join us.

Our location was carefully chosen—not too hidden, not too exposed. And above all, not too far from a public toilet.

Safety & Comfort
The Dionysus Society has a zero-tolerance policy for creeps. If you make anyone feel uncomfortable, you’ll be asked to leave.
If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, speak to your hosts. They’ll sort it out. We want everyone to feel safe and happy—in that order. If you frowned at this, don’t bother showing up. Good? Good. Goooooooood.
