What we’re about
(EN) The Discussion Experiment is a series of events in which we test new methods to make discussions in groups more interesting, insightful and satisfying.
At each event, we discuss a real issue so that we can develop the method further while having an inspiring evening at the same time.

See all- Let's talk about our age - Discussion Experiment (Session 1)Tuesday Coworking, Berlin
No matter how old we are, age is often on our minds. We might feel older or younger than we are. We might worry we haven’t achieved enough for our age, or that we’re wasting our youth. We might fear becoming too old for some things or wonder why our friends seem to be aging at a different pace than we are.
Since none of us is alone in having these kinds of feelings and questions, let’s explore them together by sharing our answers to a simple but deep question:
„How does it feel to be my age right now?“
Hopefully, we’ll have participants from different generations, so we might even learn something about how the experience of age is shifting: How does it feel to be 25, 35, or 55 today compared to 10 or 20 years ago?
As always, we’ll use experimental discussion techniques to structure the evening and spark thoughtful, inspiring conversation (you can read more about that below and in the FAQs).There will be two independent sessions—you’re welcome to join either or both.

FAQ
What is an experimental discussion?
The discussion experiment is a method for discussing complex topics in groups. The method slows the discussions down, creates more clarity and helps the group to arrive at a shared understanding of a topic. Find out more on the homepage (please find the link in the event description above). What can I expect from the event?
Each event is a test and an experiment, which makes it difficult to predict exactly how it will unfold or feel. But even if the moderated part doesn't meet your expectations, it's still worth sticking around afterward to exchange ideas with the other lovely participants over some snacks. How long is the event?
This event will last about 1 hour and 45 minutes, i.e. until about 8:45 pm. Everyone is welcome to stay a bit longer after the event to finish the snacks, connect and mingle.Do I have to actively participate in the discussion, or can I just listen?
It is perfectly fine to just listen. You can decide for yourself at any time how actively you want to participate and will not be asked to speak. We only may have a short round at the beginning of the conversation where all participants say their name.Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The venue is on the ground floor and accessible with wheelchairs. However, there are unfortunately no wheelchair-accessible bathrooms! - Let's talk about our age - Discussion Experiment (Session 2)Tuesday Coworking, Berlin
