What we’re about
(EN) The Discussion Experiment is a series of events in which we test new methods to make discussions in groups more interesting, insightful and satisfying.
At each event, we discuss a real issue so that we can develop the method further while having an inspiring evening at the same time.

See all- Let's talk about Berlin uncommittedness (Session 1)Tuesday Coworking, Berlin
Someone recently asked me: "Can you organize a discussion about why people in Berlin are so uncommitted? They don't want to commit to anything and if they do, they will cancel at the very last second because they found something better to do ..."
So here we are: in our next discussion, we'll explore this phenomenon together.
Are people in Berlin less committed than elsewhere? Could this be a trait of big cities, certain generations, or the times we live in? More importantly, what role does this phenomenon play in our friendships, dating, and overall social life?
In this event, we’ll use experimental methods to structure our conversation and encourage insightful exchange. Read more about the format in the FAQs.

FAQ
Who is this event for?
This event is for anyone who wants to think about this topic together—regardless of your age and whether you are someone who tends to be rather committed or rather uncommitted :)What is an experimental discussion?
The discussion experiment is a method for discussing complex topics in groups. The method slows the discussions down, creates more clarity and helps the group to arrive at a shared understanding of a topic. Find out more on the homepage (please find the link in the event description above). How long is the event?
This event will last about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Everyone is welcome to stay a bit longer after the event to finish the snacks, connect and mingle.Do I have to actively participate in the discussion, or can I just listen?
It is perfectly fine to just listen - you will not be asked to speak. However, there might be breakout groups, i.e. short segments in which all participants discuss topics in groups of 2-3 people. You do not have to participate in these; you can use the time for a break instead. Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The venue is on the ground floor and accessible with wheelchairs. However, there are unfortunately no wheelchair-accessible bathrooms! What can I expect from the event?
Each event is a test and an experiment, which makes it difficult to predict exactly how it will unfold or feel. But even if the moderated part doesn't meet your expectations, it's still worth sticking around afterward to exchange ideas with the other lovely participants over some snacks. - Let's talk about Berlin uncommittedness (Session 2)Tuesday Coworking, Berlin
