Hell and Satan in the Middle Ages

Details

[This event is going to be repeated on Friday 14 March since this event is full.]

In this second session on a series about Satan, we look at visions of Hell and Satan in the Middle Ages. We explore how the idea of Satan progressed from various texts in the Bible through to the wild interpretations of artists like Giotto and writers like Dante and Chaucer.

Please note that we will be approaching this subject in a creative and non-religious way which some people might find offensive.

This session will be led by James.

Bring beer/wine/drinks/food/snacks/whatever if you want to.

Note that this group will be leaving meetup.com later this year.
