Echoes of Forgotten Communities in Barcelona and the Future of Belonging
Details
This talk invites you on a multidisciplinary journey through the streets and stories of Barcelona, exploring the city as a living microcosm of our current shared human condition.
Guided by a love of books and a care for clear thinking, we will explore the subtext of classical novels and the memory of forgotten communities, where belonging meets solitude and reason contends with misinformation, distorted narratives and collective confusion.
From these layered echoes, drawn from Cervantes, Orwell and the stories of the Sixth Fleet, we will try to decipher the city’s DNA and ask what they can teach us about ourselves present, in an age shaped by loneliness, misinformation and accelerating technologies.
These reflections, arising from a turbulent present, are both an exploration of the city’s past and an introspective lens through which to imagine a healthier and more connected future.
This session will be led by Eyal.
