We are Stardust. How Bowie’s gift of Sound & Vision dared us to be different.
Details
From the late 1960s to the early 1980s David Bowie’s created an opening in pop culture (and arguably the wider society) for us to be a little weirder - and a bit truer to ourselves.
Mike Stone takes a highly subjective look at Bowie’s music from this period and selective film work to explore how he infiltrated the mainstream and influenced - everyone.
Including frank discussions of gender, sexuality, drugs and other essentials of the 70s rock-n-roll lifestyle, this presentation is not for the faint-hearted. If you think you’re gonna make it, you’d better hang onto yourself.
