A Promise and a Crisis: Modern Architecture in a Nutshell
Details
Architecture has always shown what a society finds beautiful and what it needs. Over time, beauty has meant different things: rich ornament, then pure function, then playful meaning, and now responsibility. Each new form promised a better way to live and also exposed new problems. This talk follows how that idea of beauty kept changing, and asks who it was really for.
This session will be led by Ceyda.
