DoxaDay - A Taste of Doxacon Seattle

Details
Christianity! Science fiction! Fantasy! Games! Music! Smoking (cooking meat, that is)! If this stuff sparks your interest, come gather at St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church this February 4th. At noon we'll have a short talk on Gaming and Community, followed by discussion and an opportunity to chat, play games, and generally hang with other geeks (ahem!) -- others who share your interests. The fantabulous Harry Miller, of the Pangalacticats, will jump in with some geekabilly tunes. We'll wrap it up around 5PM, plenty of time for a dinner break and return to St. Paul for evening services.
If you want to learn about cooking various kinds of meats, that will fire up as early as 6AM – yes, you can bring your own meat to cook and share (depending on what kind of meat, your actual cooking time will vary; please contact us for details).
All this, free of charge! And child care will be available!
Presented by Doxacon Seattle, exploring the intersection and interaction of Christianity and speculative fiction of all kinds.
