This August, we begin a journey beyond the familiar gods and into the deeper mysteries of the Norse tradition.
Dark Deities & the Jötnar is an advanced monthly class series exploring the primordial beings, liminal powers, ancestral spirits, seeresses, fate-weavers, and deities connected to death, transformation, wilderness, magic, sovereignty, and the unknown.
Throughout the series, we will explore:
✨ The Jötnar and the forces that existed before the gods
✨ Ymir and the creation of the worlds
✨ Hel and the sacred mysteries of death
✨ The Dísir and ancestral protection
✨ Odin as Lord of the Wild Hunt
✨ Skaði and the sovereignty of winter
✨ The Völva and the path of the seeress
✨ Fenrir and the breaking of chains
✨ Jörmungandr and the power of boundaries
✨ Loki and sacred disruption
✨ Gullveig, Heiðr, and witch-fire
✨ Angrboða and the mysteries of Ironwood
✨ Rán and Ægir and the depths of the sea
✨ The Norns and the weaving of wyrd
✨ The Valkyries as choosers, guides, and fate-weavers
✨ A final Ironwood initiation and integration ritual
Each class will combine historical sources, mythology, modern spiritual practice, discussion, and guided ritual.
This is not a series about “evil gods.” It is an exploration of the beings and forces that exist beyond simple ideas of light and dark with those who challenge, transform, initiate, protect, and reveal. Please note that there are not deities that are “dark” in the traditional Norse path
