Session 17: The Storms of Talos

Having defeated the Shadow Demon and Cultists of Tharizdun, Sunny sees to her father only to find that while Ianvalor has healed his body, his mind and spirit damaged.
Xanth, the Centaur, tells them he believes this condition can be cured in the depths of Neverwinter Wood in the place where his people once dwelt. A talisman in his possession can take them to the outskirts of his homeland and from there they can proceed to the sacred site within.
After many questions and much party discussion. The group agrees to forgo the encounter with the Frost Dragon and assist Sunny in saving her father.
In the depths of the woods, however, they find they are not alone. Patrols of Thunder, the smell of ozone and bright blue flashes of lightening come from the direction of the sacred hill and patroling bands of orcs walk the area in search of intruders.
Also, another party has arrived in the depths of the wood. A Cleric of Tempus, a Warrior, a Ranger and a Fighter. They claim to be seeking the Ancorite Priests in service to Talos to put an end to his plan and protect the people Phandalin. For now their quest seems to align with ours but what the future holds is uncertain.....
