About Me
Hello! I’m Karim, originally from Lebanon and working as an Executive Data Analyst here in the UAE. I’m a language enthusiast and speak Arabic, English, French, Spanish, and even a few words of Korean!
My passions include movies, thought-provoking conversations (I’m a Toastmasters alum!), and sports like football and basketball. Having been an active member of different Meetup groups, I've learned what makes an event truly special, and I’m excited to bring that experience to create amazing events for all of you.

We've all been there—arriving at a social event alone and not knowing how to start a conversation. It can be a little awkward!
So for our first get-together, we're skipping the awkward small talk and jumping straight to the fun part: real conversations and new connections.
What We'll Do:
We’ll be playing a very cool and simple icebreaker card game (using the BestSelf deck). These aren't your typical "boring" questions! The game is designed to spark fun, interesting, and even meaningful conversations in a really easy-going way.How it works:
- We'll grab our coffees and get settled.
- We'll take turns pulling cards with fun question prompts (e.g., "What's a movie that always makes you laugh?" or "What's a skill you've always wanted to learn?").
- That's it! It’s a relaxed, judgment-free, and super easy way to get to know everyone in the group.

We're kicking things off with a deep and meaningful discussion of the critically-acclaimed 2018 Lebanese film Capharnahum (کفرناحوم).
This powerful movie opens the door for a fruitful discussion about human rights, poverty, resilience, and the systems we live in.
Our goal isn't to just "review" the film, but to share our perspectives, relate its themes to the world, and have a great conversation.We highly recommend that you watch the movie before you arrive, or at least have an idea about what it is about.
