What we're about

I started the Duck Life in May 2021 and I really didn't write much about the group. Honestly I was a bit worried that people may not join. But you did and thank you!

When members ask me about The Duck Life, I talk about Dallas (the dog in my picture with the yellow duck in his mouth) and he ran about my house squeezing his toy duck. But really he brought sunshine into my life. In the simplest of thoughts and words, he made me smile and laugh.

I hope as we are in this chapter of our life, we can keep it simple with some activity, dinner drinks and other things. Let just enjoy it.

In closing, I was recently at another meet-up and I had to ask the clerk for the wifi password. He said its wonder. Before I left the cafe, I wrote on their board one of my favorite poetic lines. It's from an E.E. Cummings poem. "It's the wonder that keeps the stars apart."

Whatever your journey, continue to wonder and always look to the stars at the close of another beautiful day.

I'm not sure how long The Duck Life will last, but when this journey ends, I won't forget any of you.
