With great pleasure I would like to announce another Meetup with a great subject! Thanks to Dominik Charousset from Interance who will visit us all the way from Hamburg, Germany. To talk about CAF—the C++ Actor Framework. Thanks JetBrains and in particular Anastasia for hosting us!

Abstract
CAF is an open source framework that offers a programming environment based on the Actor Model of computation combined with a scalable, native runtime environment that lets you build applications at a high level of abstraction without sacrificing performance. Whether you are targeting a single machine, a data center, or the cloud, CAF provides the necessary tools to implement robust, scalable, and maintainable software.
CAF features lightweight & fast actor implementations, data flows, HTTP and WebSocket support, pattern matching for messages, metrics, distributed actors, and more. Professional support, training, and consulting are available from Interance, the company behind CAF.

Biography
Dominik is the creator/chief evangelist and lead developer of CAF. He gives talks about it at conferences such as C++ Now, parallel, SPLASH, and CoNEXT as well as at local C++ User Groups. With more than a decade of experience in designing, engineering, testing, benchmarking, and deploying systems software in C++, he helps companies to create highly scalable applications with CAF by advising, training and supporting software development teams around the world.
