UPDATE RE TRAVEL & TIMINGS

Hi All,

Just to let you know a few more details about the meet-up on Saturday.

Don't worry if you are not able to make it for the meet-up time of 11:30am as the festival is on all day so you can join us at any time you like, I plan to get the 26 bus from stop PK on Princes Street at about 10am on Saturday morning so if anyone wants to join me you are more than welcome (don't worry if you can't make that one as the bus runs approximately every 10 minutes). This will arrive in Port Seton just after 11am and I will be at the Harbour take away at 11:30am. I then plan to take a wander around the exhibitions in the open houses returning to the Harbour take away at about 1pm for a bite to eat. I have added a map of the three harbours to the files page of the website, the Harbour Take Away is venue 42.

The rest of the day will depend on the weather but the rough plan is to wander around the harbour and the exhibitions in the afternoon, watch the Boatie Blest at Port Seton Harbour at 4pm and then walk a section of the John Muir Way coastal path from Port Seton Harbour up to Prestonpans later in the afternoon for a drink at the Gothenburg where there is a microbrewery and live music in the evening. (If the weather is bad or you don't feel like walking the 26 bus will take you right there)

My mobile is 07812727710.

Background info about the Meetup;

Following on from last years successful meet up at this event, thought it would be a good idea to get it in the diary early. The 3 Harbours Arts Festival has matured into a major date in the Scottish festival calendar, thanks to the organisers unique idea to celebrate the creativity of the local communities by hiding works by local artists in and around the three harbours. This year over 250 visual artists will be exhibiting work in a variety of venues turned temporarily into galleries (including the huge industrial public space of Cockenzie Power Station, where the biggest names in the programme traditionally host their exhibitions), and the programme has swollen to include street theatre, live music, and workshops.

Public transport - bus No 26 runs every 10 minutes and can be picked up from Haymarket, Princes Street and St Andrews Square.

Official website - http://www.3harbours.co.uk/8.html

Thanks for the idea Gregor.
