Bird on a Stick. Lochend Park.

Lochend Loch is a main feature of this park and is a great spot for viewing waterfowl. There is a 16th century doocot, and nearby ruins of Lochend Castle.

"Bird on a stick" is a phrase I have heard used by some photographers and photo judges who are not necessarily bird specialists. Maybe bird photography is a niche genre?

Come and enjoy the park and the loch, bring your telephoto lens if you have one.

We will meet at the ATM in front of the Sainsbury's in Meadowbank Retail Park. It's a short walk around back, through the Urban Eden housing development to Lochend Park.

We can head to the Old Eastway Tap on Easter Road for drinks and chips afterwards.
