Seacliff Bay, East Lothian

Details
Seacliff bay is a most beautiful East Lothian bay. It has the smallest official UK harbour, stunning views towards Tantallon Castle, Bass Rock and lots of geological interest, large and small. If we are very lucky horses from the nearby stables will gallop along the long sandy beach.
As it is private you have a charge of £5 per car. [You drive through a toll barrier and then on an unsurfaced track down to the coast. It is the second parking place where we meet; you see a toilet block to the left of the parking area]. To reduce cost you could park in North Berwick and share a car. We will meet at 12:30 [to match the train and have a little more time] and go then to the Tyninghame Smiddy for 14:30 for a drink and snack. A nice old place with inside and outside seating.
I can pick up (up to 4 people) from North Berwick train station (train from Waverley 1142 arriving in NB at 12:17; return train could be 16:22) and take you back there from the Tyninghame Smiddy. But I will need info if a pick up is needed a few days before. Looking forward to a great outing.
