An afternoon in the historic centre of Dunfermline, Scotland’s newest city and ancient capital.
We will meet outside the City Chambers then visit Dunfermline Abbey, Pittencrieff Park Park (known locally as the Glen) and Abbot House. Entry is free to the Abbey (voluntary donations) though you can book tickets in advance (also free) to ensure entry at:

We can either have a tea/coffee in the Abbot House cafe and garden at the end or head to one of the local Dunfermline pubs.
Travel
Train - the train leaves Waverley station at 12:19 and Haymarket at 12:23 arriving at Dunfermline City at 12:52. Trains leave Dunfermline City at 16:08, 16:30, 17:01.
Bus - Bus X55 leaves Edinburgh Bus Station every 15 minutes and takes 1 hour. Leaves at 11:50 or 11:05 on 19 July. Bus X55 leaves Dunfermline every 15 minutes.
