📸 Event Overview
To embrace and make the most of our Scottish autumn before the grey winter sets in, we’ll visit the picturesque Roslin Glen and grounds around Roslin Castle. This is a location steeped in medieval Scottish history and surrounded by spectacular woodland and river gorges. The romantic castle ruins, perched dramatically above The River North Esk, offers striking compositions,
Your objective is the explore the small hills, winding trails, castle ruins and The River North Esk gorge trails to capture some ‘Postcard Perfect’ autumn image that showcases ‘Scotland in Autumn’.
This aims to challenge your composition skills. There are many great compositions here from Roslin Castle, to the old stone arch bridge, the stunning woodlands, slow-shutter waterway scenes of the The River North Esk, leading lines of the winding trails, the Roslin valley landscape vistas or even the nearby Roslin Chapel.
This outing promises autumn woodland scenery, ancient trees, riverside trails, and sandstone cliffs, waterways and medieval Scottish history, all in one compact location.
IMPORTANT SAFETY – If venturing down to The North Esk below the castle, please stick to the trails. This area can feature dangerously steep drops down into the gorge and river below.
Please RSVP by clicking ‘Attend’ so we can confirm numbers.
