There is another hidden gem in Edinburgh's Old Town where thousands of tourists and locals pass by on a regular basis, but don't really notice. Old St Paul’s Scottish Episcopal Church, 63 Jeffrey Street, just opposite Waverley Station is not the oldest church in Edinburgh, in fact by some standards is quite new. The main part of the building was built in three phases between 1880 – 1905 with some fine stained glass added throughout the years up until 1945.
Old St Paul's isn't a large church so will only take an hour at the most to walk round and take photos, when you have finished, go outside and walk around the vicinity. As we will be in the Old Town the theme this week is old and older still, look for details, people and artifacts which represent old to you. Let's expand our compositional skills to get photos which are not just record shots, but experimental and fun.
The main photo is a painting of stained glass by Trevor Jones, created in the Custom House Leith as part of his exhibition.

There is a memorial service in the church at 12 noon but should be finished by the time we arrive at 1.00pm. Meet outside the church.

I'm hoping to find somewhere different to meet up afterwards, at 2.30pm but if I don't we'll meet at the Advocate in Hunter Square. I'll either post in the comments or let you know on the day, probably both!
