This year's Edinburgh Lindy Exchange takes place Fri 19 - Sun 21 September. Saturday's events include a procession to the Mound from Greyfriars Kirk (starting at 13.00) and "Swing outside at the Mound" which is 2 hours or so of dancing from 13.15 - 15.30 at the side of the Royal Scottish Academy. All this is weather dependent of course.
Previous events have brought dancers from near and far and, naturally, created a lot of public interest. I suggest we treat this as an informal Meetup with photographers coming along at times to suit their own agenda. There will, I'm sure, be plenty of other folk with cameras around!
Members can, of course, arrange to meet up en route or afterwards for whatever refreshment they fancy but because of the nature of the event there will be no organised meeting point pre- or post proceedings. - Your SUMMER photographs and PLANNING THE NEXT FEW MONTHSLeith Community Centre, Edinburgh

The FUTURE. For the past couple of years, we have planned ahead. You will agree, it worked well. As a result we went to a variety of venues and enjoyed the weekly challenges, and new people joined the group.
Here is how it works (suggestions for change are welcomed), 3 possibilities:
1- You choose a month that suits you, either post all the Thursday events (remember you don’t need to attend them all), or ask other people to post one or more events
2- You don’t want to commit to a whole month but you are happy to post one or more events, give us the dates that suit you
3- You have suggestions to make for events and themes, share them with the group.
Here is how it will not work: waiting for other people (including myself) to do it all.
The fun of it is to share the responsibility and the experience.
