The Ember Room is a gathering rooted in writing, poetry, and creative expression, but it’s about much more than sharing work. It’s about community.
This is a space for writers and creatives to come together, share their words, exchange feedback, and connect with others who are paying attention to the world we’re living in. In a time that feels heavy, isolating, and intentionally fear-driven, The Ember Room exists to remind us that there is power in being in the room together.
Community and care are at the center of this group. Hate, harm, or dehumanizing beliefs of any kind are not tolerated here. This is not a neutral space, and it is not apolitical. It is a space grounded in respect, accountability, and collective safety. If you are uncomfortable with that, this likely won’t be the right fit.
The Ember Room is for people who believe in showing up for one another, who value thoughtful conversation, and who understand that art and writing don’t exist in a vacuum. They come from lived experience, from struggle, from change, and from hope.
