4D3N Gunung Tahan (Merapoh-Merapoh) Trek (Challenging!!)

Join us for a challenging 5D4N climb to the Roof of Peninsular Malaysia. At 2,187m high, Mount Tahan is the highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia and considered by by many to be one of the toughest treks in Malaysia.

Day 01
1/10 (Tue)
SINGAPORE – JB SENTRAL
At 7pm, meet at JB Sentral Railway Station for overnight train (sleeping berth) to Merapoh.

Day 02
2/10 (Wed)
08:00am Meetup at Merapoh National Park - registration & check-in
- transfer by 4wd to trailhead Kuala Juram
- Arrive at Kuala Juram campsite.
- Start hike
- Kem Kuala Luis (water point). Lunch
- Kem Lata Luis (water point)|
- Overnight at Kem kor (water point)
- Dinner

Day 03
3/10 (Thur)
07:00am Breakfast and packing
- Start hike
- Kem Pematang (water point)
- Kem Kubang (water point) – Lunch
- Kem Belumut
- Kem Bonsai
- Overnight at Kem Botak (water point )
- Dinner
Overnight: Camping
Day 04
4/10 (Fri)
04:30am wake up
05:30am Start hike
- Gunung Tahan Summit - Sunrise
- explore Crystal trek (bear rock summit, bonsai tree, waterfall, and crystal rock)
- Return to the campsite
- Lunch. Free and easy
- Dinner

5/10 (Sat)
07:00am Breakfast and packing
- leave Kem Botak
- Kem Bonsai
- Kem Belumut
- Kem Kubang – Lunch
- Kem Pematang Angin
- Overnight at Kem Kor
- Dinner
Overnight: Camping
Day 06
6/10 (Sun)
07:00am Breakfast and packing
- Start hike
- Kem Lata Luis
- Kem Kuala Luis
- Kuala Juram. Transfer by 4wd to Merapoh National Park
- Reach Merapoh National Park - Declare item & check-out. Get certification
- Rest and relax till overnight train back to JB Sentral

Day 07
7/8 (Mon)
Morning arrival at JB Sentral
Price
SGD 460 each person (based on group of 4 pax or more)
Price includes:
- 2-way train ticket (sleeping berth) between JB Sentral and Merapoh
- 2 way 4WD transfer between Merapoh and trailhead
- English speaking guide
- Trekking permit
- All meals as mentioned in above itinerary
- Porter for carrying communal items (food, cooking equipment, flysheet, groundsheet
Price excludes:
- Travel insurance
- All meals not mentioned
- Camping equipment
- All expenses of a personal nature
- *Porters to carry personal belonging
*Porters to carry personal belonging can be arranged at SGD 450 per porter for the whole trek. Each porter can carry up to 15 kg so a few of us can share one porter.
