What we’re about
The Escaping Capitalism Community is opening up the conversation regarding capitalism - what it is, who it truly benefits, the impact, and the alternatives.
Instigated by Slowmentum's vision of reimagining economic systems that prioritise planetary health, equality and well-being, the development of THE CAPITALISM ESCAPE ROOM has been birthed - an immersive, story-driven and educational experience that encourages players to work together to confront escalating challenges and “escape” capitalism before ecological collapse.
Supported by The Studio’s Innovation Fund, we will combine our expertise in interactive theatre, arts, alternative economies, creative audio technologies, and mental health with our deep roots in Bath and Bristol to co-create a prototype CAPITALISM ESCAPE ROOM experience by July 2025.
This community opens up space for discussion, reflection and creativity, ensuring that the design process of this experience is people-led and world-first through the interactive play lab events.
