Solo No More: A Traditional "Zi Char" Reunion Dinner |
Details
Whether you are Chinese or non-Chinese, you know that Chinese New Year is a time for family and togetherness. But for many of us—entrepreneurs, busy professionals, or those living far from home—the "Reunion Eve" can sometimes be the quietest night of the year.
As a business owner established in Singapore, single and with no direct family here, I truly miss the warm, bustling atmosphere of a traditional reunion dinner. So, I decided to host one for us!
Let’s make this the first "Union Dinner" for The Established Circle 40+.
The Vibe: We are meeting at a local favorite—a traditional Singapore-style "Zi Char" (Hua La) spot right downstairs from me. It’s bright, clean, and loved by locals for its fresh, popular dishes. No fancy hotel dress codes or $ set menus for this special day—just good food at a budget and honest companionship.
The Plan:
- Dinner: We will order a variety of traditional dishes to share. There is no event fee; we will simply split the cost of the food and drinks equally.(20-50)depend on what we order,
- After-Dinner: For those who want to keep the conversation going, CHIJMES is just a 5-minute walk away. We can head there for a drink and soak in the festive lights.
