Join us in turning discarded textiles into a scrunchie you’ll reach for again and again. You’ll work entirely by hand, cutting, shaping and stitching your fabric from raw material to finished accessory, and you’ll learn the fundamentals of hand sewing along the way.
If you have something at home that’s no longer worn, like a shirt with a stain, a dress that doesn’t fit, or a scarf you’ve fallen out of love with, bring it along. We’ll show you how to take it apart and use it as fabric, so something that might have been thrown away becomes a piece you keep. It’s completely optional, and we’ll have plenty of fabric for everyone.
No sewing experience needed
This session is a chance to unplug, work with your hands and rethink what “waste” really means. Giovanna will guide you step by step, so absolute beginners and curious first-timers can go at their own pace. You’ll leave with a scrunchie you made yourself and the know-how to keep making them at home.
