What we’re about
A group for anyone interested in seeing films, art, theatre, comedy (and more) by female creators.
This Meet Up also hosts a Feminist discussion group and attends talks and events with Feminist themes.
This group is about amplifying the voices of female artists and, through discussion, prioritising a female point of view. It’s our intention to create a space that feels both welcoming and safe (both online and in person).
With this in mind, we ask you to please not send direct messages to other group members unless you have met them in person at an event (failure to comply with this condition is likely to result in your removal from the group).
The only exception to this rule is if you have entered into a conversation with another member on the discussion/message board and have agreed that it is preferable to continue it (in private) using direct messaging.
In general, the start time for each meet up will reflect the official start time of the performance we are going to see (film, play, comedy show etc.) or the time that we will enter an exhibition or begin a discussion.
Members are expected to buy their own ticket for each event (where relevant).
Suggestions for new events are always welcome.
