About us

The Fencing Instructors Social Networking Guild is a space for those of us who spend more time behind the mask teaching others than competing ourselves. Whether you are a full-time club owner, a freelance coach, or a volunteer assistant, the work of developing students can be a solitary experience. This group is intended to be a relaxed place to share our perspectives on pedagogy, equipment troubleshooting, and the unique challenges of managing a salle.

We meet to trade stories and practical advice that you just do not get at tournaments or coaching clinics. There is no agenda here other than connecting with colleagues who understand the nuances of the sport. If you are looking to commiserate over class management, discuss curriculum development, or simply grab a coffee with someone who knows exactly what it feels like to spend all day on the strip, you are welcome to join us.
