Children and Finances - Free Class

This class is in English. Our classes are also given in French on Tuesday evenings. Ce cours est en anglais. Nos cours sont aussi donnés en français les mardi soirs.

• Discover the expenses — and income — your child brings to your home
• Build a plan to pay for your child’s education the most efficient way possible
• Learn how to build a legacy for your children

Raising children, from little babies to independent and self-sufficient adults, is a long, difficult and expensive process. There are so many things to worry about: from maternity/paternity leave, to daycare, to the far-off but serious concern of paying for post-secondary education... not to mention just getting by day by day with the extra expenses a child brings to the household! Most would agree it's all worthwhile in the end, but pretty much everyone would also agree that extra help would be welcome and appreciated!

While we're not offering to take care of your kids for you (sorry!), in this class we will be examining the impact of children on a family's finances, to help those looking to start a family get a sense of what awaits them. After that, we'll get into some strategies and government incentives available to parents, to help make their job a little easier... and finish off with some ideas on how to build a legacy to perhaps help them have an easier time helping their kids through life than you had!
