This class is in English. Our classes are also given in French on Tuesday evenings. Ce cours est en anglais. Nos cours sont aussi donnés en français les mardi soirs.
Topics Covered:
• Build and maintain a family budget
• Change problematic behaviors that keep you from your goals
• Set financial priorities with your family and be accountableYour budget is the key to making every other component of your financial life work properly. It will determine how fast you can pay down your debts, when you can retire, where you can live, where your kids go to school... how you can live your life, and even achieve your goals and dreams! This is the foundation of proper financial management, without which nothing else can work, and sadly it is a severely under-utilized tool in Canadian households. Even if you never felt the need to put together a budget, because you never felt pressed for cash or whatever other reason, if you don't have an up-to-date household budget or are unsure how to use it effectively, this course will be invaluable for you. What you learn at this presentation will lay the foundation upon which almost all the others will build, so it's important that it be done right!
The class is free to attend, but please confirm your attendance by registering on our website ( http://www.tficlub.ca/free-financial-literacy-courses/ ). Spacing is limited, so reserve your spot today!
We share the same parking lot as the Desjardins building and are next to Globo. The doors open at 6:30pm, with coffee and hot chocolate served for those who arrive at that time. Someone will stay downstairs to let people in until 7:10pm, after which time the doors are locked.
