Anies Baswedan is an Indonesian intellectual and statesman, former governor of Jakarta (2017-2022) and former minister of education and culture (2014 – 2016). A one-time university rector and founder of the Indonesia Mengajar (Indonesia Teaching) movement, he was also a 2024 Indonesian presidential candidate.
