What we’re about
The Fortress is a group for Men to come and find refuge in a place where they can let their defenses down.
I noticed within myself [and with many close friends] that when I am struggling with things that are not easily palpable; better yet when I am struggling period, I will turn into an island. I will not call out for help—I will suffer in silence. I've seen this too many times in my life, and many of my close friends.
I am a Christian. That is the foundation of this group. I will invite God into each meeting. That does not mean if you are not Christian, you are not welcome. Pain and suffering are a common denominator of this life we live.
So we meet, we eat, we speak. For the most part.
