Tonight, we will juxtapose the previous evening's more somber and spiritual experience with the most festive and jubilant aspects of Día de Muertos. We can get dressed up, admire the altars around town and dance alongside the impressive “comparsas” (street parades) as we share mezcal with our fellow travelers and strangers we meet on the street.

-Travel back in time to the sacred city of the Zapotec empire, which thrived outside of current day Oaxaca for over one thousand years and gave rise to one of first major cities in Mesoamerica, Monte Albán.
