This is a truly amazing way to make friends out of strangers in a very safe space. Each person who attends will be seated on a table of 4 or 5. And each person is given an opportunity to tell a story about their life for up to 10 minutes. Not everyone has to do it - we don't force you but we do encourage you. You could talk about your most wonderful adventure, career highlights or hilarious holiday antics. Could be an overview of their life - obviously topics will be respectful and not inappropriate. It's a very empowering and validating thing to be heard so let's hear each other's stories - we don't care if it's compelling or boring. Just the telling is fantastic. If you feel nervous you'll love the self-esteem boost you get from it. You don't have to take the whole 10 minutes, and you never know how your story will resonate with someone. Great things can come of it and it certainly opens up more conversations. I'm so keen to hear 10 minutes of you. I'll explain it in more detail on the night to help you feel at ease.
