🌊 Boise River Float — Barber Park to Ann Morrison Park
Get ready for one of Boise’s best summer adventures! ☀️🛶
We’ll start our float at Barber Park and drift approximately 6 miles downstream to Ann Morrison Park. The float usually takes about 2–3 hours, depending on the river and how often we stop.
🚣 What to Expect
The river is mostly a relaxing, scenic float through tree-lined sections of Boise, with plenty of wildlife and beautiful views. Along the way, we’ll pass Warm Springs Golf Course, Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park, Boise State University, Julia Davis Park and downtown Boise, along with several bridges.
There are three Class II rapids during the first half of the trip, so this isn't completely lazy-river floating! Keep your feet pointed downstream if you fall out, stay with your group, and follow the main channel.
📍 Where We Start
Barber Park
4049 S. Eckert Rd., Boise
You can bring your own tube/raft or rent equipment at Barber Park. If bringing your own inflatable, bring your own pump.
🏁 Where We Finish
Ann Morrison Park
The official take-out is on the left side of the river at Ann Morrison Park. Watch for the take-out area as you approach the park and start moving toward the bank early so you don't float past it.
Those who want to continue to Payette Brewing afterwards will use the for bridge to get there for a few drinks and s bite to eat
🚗 Getting Back to Your Car
The easiest option is the shuttle from Ann Morrison Park back to Barber Park. Another option is to have two vehicles—leave one at Ann Morrison and drive the other to Barber Park before launching.

⚠️ Safety First
The Boise River is cold, and conditions can change. Check the current river conditions and any closures before heading out. Everyone should have a PFD available, and children 14 and younger are required to wear one under Idaho law.
The goal: relax, laugh, splash, enjoy Boise from the river, and make some great memories! 🌞🌊🛶
