In this session we will explore why organizational federalization is inevitable. How to connect the doing with the talking. How to bring about organizational transformation that sticks.

If we want to bring about a better Future of Work, then a twofold shift is needed. First, a profound shift in our conception of how organizations should function.

Secondly, a re-orientation in our approach to change, or transformation. Away from notions of change management, and towards fast transformation with all the willing.

Niels has dedicated two decades of research, community work and consulting practice to the issue of how to overcome command-and-control organization, for good. He was a pioneer of the Beyond Budgeting movement, and went on to create the BetaCodex community, along with practical approaches such as Cell Structure Design and OpenSpace Beta.

In this highly energetic, interactive session, Niels will discuss with us how any organization can become sustainably more successful and fit for human beings, by moving beyond centralized steering.

Niels Pflaeging is a leadership philosopher and entrepreneur. He is also one of the most prolific European experts on organizational leadership and transformation.

Since 2003, Niels has achieved international recognition as an author, with ten published books to date. He speaks four languages fluently.

Together with Silke Hermann, Niels developed a series of powerful organizational approaches, which include OpenSpace Beta, Cell Structure Design, *Org Physics *and Change-as-Flipping. Among his best-selling books is the internationally acclaimed Organize for Complexity.

He is founder of the BetaCodex Network, managing director of Red42 and investor at Disqourse.
