The Systems Synergy - Sean Blair
Details
The Future of Work Scotland team are delighted to welcome Sean Blair, author of The Systems Synergy, as our guest speaker for March. Closing out Q1 2026.
In this session Sean will outline the key ideas from his new book The Systems Synergy and share why we need systems thinking (not reductionist thinking) and how the systems synergy unlocks four kinds of human intelligence that AI cannot replace.
This is about making systems thinking visible with LEGO Serious Play and transformational with Bohmian Dialogue.
Learning Objectives - what you'll take away from this session:
● More background on how Sean arrived at this book
● An overview of the Systems Synergy
● A look at the interplay between LEGO Serious Play and Bohmian dialogue
● The opportunity to be part of a short dialogic conversation about your felt reactions to these ideas
Here's a little more about our guest speaker:
Sean founded Serious Outcomes and SeriousWork to help organisations
navigate complexity through Systems Thinking, strategy, and facilitative
Leadership.
Over 30 years, he has designed and led strategy, organisation development, and leadership and learning programmes and
workshops for clients globally, including Google, HSBC, and Cisco. He and his team have trained 3,000 facilitators worldwide in participatory facilitation methodologies.
Through a decade of practice with hundreds of leadership teams, Sean
discovered how three powerful methodologies work together to
make Systems Thinking practical and transformative. He is the author of three other books on learning and facilitation.
