The Classics You Mysteriously Missed Book Club: Pride and Prejudice

While I love popular reading, I’m a scholar at heart. I really appreciate reading classical literature and learning about it. I have missed *so* many “must reads” and others, I’d just like to return to. I was planning on doing this on my own anyway, but I thought I’d post it as an event in case anyone would like to join me.

I’m just taking the books off a GoodBooks list (a Must Read list). The first book I’m going to read is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. If others want to pick a book in turn, as long as it’s on this classics list, it’s fair game. I’m going to look into bringing literature experts to help us along as well. I’ll also look to bring in other scholarly speakers if the interest is there. I definitely need some help with Shakespeare!

Summer is the best time of year for me to read. I'm a high school teacher and I'm extremely busy during the year. Summer is my chance to enjoy reading. So, join me if you're interested in the book.
