Dear Members,
This is Hersh Bhardwaj. I am a marketer and author with publishing industry experience from New Delhi. I am passionate about helping authors achieve their goals of -1) Writing a great book 2) Getting it published, 3) Sell it well
As a marketer I have worked internationally negotiating publishing contracts and foreign rights. I coach authors online to prepare their online platform for their book’s promotion.
As an author I recently pitched my ‘branding’ book and received multiple offers with advance from world’s top four publishers. I studied literary criticism at University of Liverpool.
I get numerous emails every day with queries (as quoted above) . We do try to touch upon these topics in our Meetups already. I also help some of my friends from the group as much as I can but I have realized there is a need for a structured training and discussion on the topics.
If you want to be a successful author, merely being able to write a great book is not enough.( Presuming you manage to achieve that). There is a mindboggling lack of awareness and information about how the actual publishing process works and what you as an author must know to get the best deal.
I am offering to offer my expertise and insights to help you understand all you need to know to get you a publishing deal and once published help you sell your book. I am starting this group hoping we can have this discussion at least once every fortnight over coffee-
