Fantasy/Horror/Scifi Book Club - Difficult Choices

Hello everyone

This is the Fantasy/Horror/Scifi Book Club but on a different night! The plan is to run this one on the second Thursday of each month. It the same idea as before, each month we have a theme and then people pick there own book based on that.

For October our theme is Difficult Choices. So that could be about a choices that are made during the story. It could be about choices the reader makes, which side to root for in a complex situation.

Below are a few suggested titles. This is just to give you ideas so you can read one of these or pick something else.

• Any of the Lord of the Rings books: The Fellowship of the Rings, The Two Towers, The Return of the King by J. R. R. Tolkien. Classic fantasy journey where the fate of the world rests on the shoulders of hobbits.
• Any of the Scholomancy books: A Deadly Education, The Last Graduate, The Golden Enclaves by Naomi Novik. A school where you must be alert for attack by maleficaria around every corner.
• Any of the The Divergent books: Divergent, Insurgent, Allegiant by Veronica Roth. Tris doesn't fit with any single faction which leads her to uncover conspiracy threatens to destroy her society.
• Any of the The Hunger Games: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. Katniss becomes a symbol of rebellion after being forced to fight in the games.
• Any of the Twilight books: by Stephenie Meyer. Bella falls in love with a vampire and becomes entangled in a supernatural world.
• The Warlock of Firetop Mountain by Steve Jackson, Ian Livingstone. A game book where you must make literal choices to determine the outcome.
