Calling all Glaswegian nerds and geeks!
We're looking to hold a monthly get together in Glasgow for like-minded individuals who enjoy all things geeky - Sci-fi, Doctor Who, Star Trek (and Wars!), Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, anime, cosplay, comics, board games etc.
The idea is to meet up, have a drink or two, get to know each other and make some new friends in and around the city.

The Rules
• Please only mark RSVP if you're going to attend any event.
• We want everybody to feel safe so if you experience any difficulties with another member of the group, either in person or through messages on here, please let us know immediately and we will help
• If you cancel your RSVP within hours of the event with no explanation, or don't show up, you will be removed from the group.
• No spam, trolling, flaming etc on the group or in the comments.
• We ask that your profile picture is a picture of you, otherwise we won't accept.
• Most of our events are in bars or pubs or feature themes meant for mature audiences, ages 18+ only

Clopen* Mic Night is a mathematical variety show featuring mathematicians, performers and maths communicators bringing you a random** selection of comedy, music, art, demos and puzzles to share and showcase their love of mathematics.
Clopen Mic Night #5: The Power of Five will take place on Thursday 1st May 2025, a.k.a 1/5/25, a.k.a 5º/5¹/5².
I thought this sounded interesting :)
We'll screen the performance live on the projector on a 100" screen - numbers are limited though as we'll be squeezed into the PC room.

- Star Wars Day - May 4thThe Gamer Club, Glasgow
To celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4th, join us for a Star Wars themed day of gaming at The Gamer Club.
- We’ll have a selection of Star Wars board and card games including Rebellion and Outer Rim.
- Some of the classic early arcade games from the early 80s running on the arcades.
- Some retro gaming titles for the Playstation and Xbox.
- PC LAN party with Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds and more.
- There will be a movie screening later in the evening too.
It's an unlicenced venue so feel free to bring along some soft drinks, beers or a bottle of wine - or if you prefer, there is free tea and coffee at the venue. There are directions available here: Gamer Club Directions

Feel free to bring along your own games, the more the merrier!
You don't need to know how to play any of the games in advance, I'm happy to teach anyone how to play them, but I'd ask that you be willing to teach any of the games you bring along!
