This month we're reading Finding Flora by Elinor Florence.
Set in 1905 Alberta, the story begins with Flora making a daring escape from an abusive marriage by leaping from a moving train. Determined to reclaim her life, she uses a legal loophole to secure her own homestead on the Canadian frontier. What follows is a deeply satisfying tale of resilience and reinvention as Flora builds an unexpected chosen family: a Welsh widow and her children, two American chicken-raisers, and a Métis horse breaker. Together, they learn to survive the land, protect one another, and “fire the heather” when everything they’ve fought for is at risk.

If you're not able to find the book this month. I have two copies I can give out. Message me to see if it's available and if you sign-up we can arrange to pick up/drop-off.

A perfect read for anyone who loves stories of frontier grit, female strength, and communities forged in unlikely places, Finding Flora offers rich themes and memorable characters that will spark a fantastic discussion. Book Club Sign up Page
