The holiday season is upon us and even we godless folks like to celebrate this time of year. In that "spirit" we will encourage audience members to come up on stage this month and share a brief comical or touching holiday-related moment — an anecdote, a memory, a transformational event — with the rest of us.
We are especially pleased to bring back good friend and prominent secular activist Faisal Saeed Al Mutar, a young man from Iraq who was granted political asylum here in 2012 after his life was in danger due to his activism. He also started the wildly popular and influential Global Secular Humanist Movement.
And The Godless Revival is thrilled to have terrific comedian Katherine Williams, who brings a unique blend of smarts, wit, and sass that is sure to tickle your funny bone, and maybe some other bones, too. Katherine has played all over NYC.
As usual Jehova's Favorite Choir led by Don Albert will perform popular rock songs. Angry Atheist Lee Moore will bring a new twist on "communion" for those willing to undergo the godless version of that ritual, which includes shots of tequila and baked goods this month. Atheist Trivia will test your secular knowledge, for which you will be awarded fun prizes. And NY Regional Director for American Atheists Michael Dorian hosts the hoopla.
The AfterLife Party immediately follows the show on Connolly's lovely rooftop bar (weather permitting, which is iffy in December). But Connolly's has indoor bars on two of its floors.
