Norvin Green - Wyanokie High Point / Mine Loop - 5+ miles

Moderate 5 miles, about 1300 ft total elevation gain. During the first mile, we will make a steady moderate climb to Wyanokie High Point with some great views of the Wanaque Reservoir. After a break, we will continue on to the Blue Mine (19th Century) and then to the Roomy Mine (18th Century), two medium-cool relics from the iron-mining era. Note: you are not allowed to enter mines Sept-April to protect bats hibernating inside. Let's meet at the New Weis Center Parking Lot (https://goo.gl/maps/1Pv865jYHqHVGNyt7) about 10 minutes ahead for departure!
Bring plenty of water and snacks, and appropriate seasonal items (sun- and insect-protection in summer, and crampons in winter). Day-of-hike-only phone: 973-704-7362.
**Note** We hike at a moderate pace, and never leave anyone behind. Our hikes are not suitable for fast hikers who like to forge ahead of the group.
