Mahlon Dickerson/Lost Lake 7+ Miles

Finally Route 80 is open so time to plan an easy/moderate hike in Mahlon Dickerson This will be a little over 7 mile loop hike from the Saffin Pond parking lot to Lost Lake. We will follow the Beaver Brook Trail to Lost Lake and return via a woods road and yellow trail. There are a few moderate climbs but none are very difficult

Bring plenty of water and snacks, and appropriate seasonal items (sun- and insect-protection in summer, and crampons in winter). Day-of-hike-only phone: 201-470-9317.

There are no facilities at Saffin Pond site so stop at Wawa, Quick Check or McDonalds on Route 15 if you need a restroom. There are probably porta-potties at Camp Jefferson on Weldon Road which you will pass before ariving at Saffin Pond.

**Note** We hike at a moderate pace, and never leave anyone behind. Our hikes are not suitable for fast hikers who like to forge ahead of the group.
