Harriman - Anthony Wayne / West Mountain 5+ Miles

Over the hills, and through the woods to Harriman Park we go! This time, to West mountain, starting at Anthony Wayne for a 5+ mile hike with an elevation gain of just under 1,000 feet. This hike has some light scrambles, and has some steep descents. We will take the Mountain Bike Path to the Appalachian trail, and follow the Timp Torne Trail for a stop at the West Mountain Shelter for lunch before returning via Timp Torne, and Hornhill Loop Trails.

Bring plenty of water and snacks, and appropriate seasonal items (sun- and insect-protection in summer, and crampons in winter). Day-of-hike-only phone: 973-704-7362.

**Note** We hike at a moderate pace, and never leave anyone behind. Our hikes are not suitable for fast hikers who like to forge ahead of the group.
