Black River From Cooper Grist Mill 6+ miles!

Moderate 6+ miles, about 900 ft total elevation gain. Half of the hike is along a scenic riverbank. Ye Olde Fan Favorite.

Bring plenty of water and snacks, and appropriate seasonal items (sun- and insect-protection in summer, and crampons in winter). Day-of-hike-only phone: 201-982-3934 (Charlie).

**Note** We hike at a moderate pace, and never leave anyone behind. Our hikes are not suitable for fast hikers who like to forge ahead of the group.
